New single-story homes have one advantage in December: every inch of the roofline is in plain sight from the street. Nothing hides behind a second floor or a sixty-year-old oak. At Heritage, the Lennar 55+ community beside the El Dorado Hills Business Park, that makes a simple, well-hung outline look sharp. Heritage El Dorado Hills Christmas light installation suits owners who want exactly that, minus the cold fingers.
What a newer Lennar roofline needs
Heritage has been going up since 2015, with collections named Mosaics, Legends, Estates and Reflections, all on one level. Heritage Carson Creek, the gated Lennar phase nearby, started construction in 2021 with single-story plans of its own. Fresh construction changes a few things for an installer.
Paint and trim are still in good shape, and we intend to leave them that way. We use clips that hang from the gutter or grip the roof edge. No fastener goes into fascia, stucco or a tile. Newer homes usually have outdoor outlets in sensible spots, which keeps cords short. Tell us where yours are at (530) 457-4771 and we’ll plan the power run so no cord crosses a walkway.
The ground is level here, a welcome change for a crew that spends most of the season on foothill grades. Level ground and low eaves mean we can be careful instead of acrobatic.
We’re in this corner of town a lot. Four Seasons at El Dorado Hills is close by, and Serrano is a short drive. Our residential lighting page covers the full service, and there’s a page on what we do around El Dorado Hills.
Young trees, and what to light instead
The street trees are still young. A sapling with a trunk you can close a hand around doesn’t take a wrap well, and we’d tell you so instead of selling you one. Give those trees a few more seasons. In the meantime, the weight of the display belongs on the house.
- Roofline lights on the front eaves and the gable over the garage.
- Pillar wraps on entry columns and porch posts.
- Lit wreaths on the garage wall or near the door.
- Lit garland framing the entry or a front window.
- Stake lighting edging the walk or the driveway, spaced evenly and kept clear of sprinkler heads.
- Tree wraps where a tree has enough trunk to carry one. A few lots do.
It all runs on a timer. On in the evening, off before the street goes quiet.
The Master Association and Heritage El Dorado Hills Christmas light installation
The community is governed by the Heritage El Dorado Hills Master Association, managed by The Management Trust. Its rules live in a members-only portal, so we can’t tell you its decoration dates. Please don’t take a guess from us or from a neighbor. Open the portal, read today’s version, or put the question to the management office. Then give us the window at (530) 457-4771. We’ll fit the install and the takedown inside it. Heritage Carson Creek owners should check their own documents the same way.
We stay off the common areas as a matter of habit. The greenbelts, the trail edges, the landscaping around The Resort clubhouse and The Retreat fitness center, and the plantings at Heritage Park on Palmdale all belong to somebody other than you. Your lot, we light. Theirs, we don’t.
How it goes, start to finish
You call, or send pictures by text or the contact page. A front shot and a note about where the outlets are will do it for most homes here. We give you a quote over the phone. On the day, we arrive with every strand and clip, hang the display, set the timer and show you the switch. If a section quits, you ring (530) 457-4771.
In January we’re back. Everything is unclipped, coiled and driven away. Nothing stays up past the season, and nothing takes up room in a garage you probably sized on purpose.
Heritage El Dorado Hills: common questions
Does Heritage El Dorado Hills have a holiday decoration window?
It has a master association, and its rules are in a members-only portal we can’t see. Look up the rule as it stands today, or put the question to The Management Trust, and hand us the dates.
Is Heritage El Dorado Hills Christmas light installation available in Heritage Carson Creek as well?
Yes. It’s gated, so we need entry arranged for the day we hang the lights and the day we remove them in January.
My street trees are tiny. Can they be wrapped?
Probably not yet. Very thin trunks don’t hold a wrap neatly, so we’d put that effort into the roofline, columns and entry until the trees fill in.
Can you light around The Resort clubhouse or the greenbelt behind my lot?
No. The clubhouse, The Retreat, the greenbelts and the trail edges are common areas. We light your lot only.
