Your street is also a taxiway. That one fact shapes every Cameron Park Airpark Estates Christmas light installation we plan, because a wingtip needs room that a minivan doesn’t. We’re a Cameron Park crew, and we’d sooner ask you three extra questions than plant a row of stakes where your neighbor swings a Cessna. Call (530) 457-4771 before anything gets planted.

Keeping the frontage clear for wings

The airpark’s hundred-plus homes sit west of the runway, and residents taxi down the extra-wide shared streets and through two electric gates to reach it. So the strip of yard beside the pavement isn’t ordinary front lawn. Before anything goes near the street edge, we ask you how much clearance aircraft on your block need, and we take your answer as the rule. In practice that usually means:

    • Stake lighting stays up by the house, along the front walk or the planting beds, well back from the pavement.
    • Nothing tall goes out at the corners of the driveway apron.
    • Cords never cross the apron or any surface an aircraft or tug rolls over.

If you fly, you already know all this. If you bought here for the big garage, ask a neighbor who does. We’ll follow whatever they tell you.

A hangar door is a big blank canvas

On most houses the garage is a side note. Here the attached hangar is the widest thing on the front elevation. We light the frame around it, not the door: roofline lights across the header and up the gable above, with clips on the trim edge and cords routed clear of the door track so it opens the same as always. A lit wreath centered on the gable above a hangar door has room to be large. Lit garland can outline the smaller garage door or the front entry beside it, where the scale is more human.

Homes here were built anywhere between 1968 and 2007, so roof edges differ house to house. Send a photo of yours. The clip gets matched to the edge, and nothing is nailed.

What governs holiday lights at the airpark

We found no HOA here. The tract appears on the Cameron Park CSD’s map as Air Park Estates, with recorded CC&Rs administered through the district’s compliance office, and the airpark is also part of the Cameron Park Airport District. The CSD’s handbooks and FAQ contain nothing about holiday decorations and no dates. We have not read the recorded CC&Rs themselves, which are posted as scans on the district’s site, so look at your copy if you want to be sure. Otherwise the timing is yours to choose.

Trees, columns and the rest of the yard

Lots run up to about an acre, which leaves room behind the clear zone. Tree wraps work on any trunk set back toward the house. Pillar wraps suit porch posts and entry columns. Because the streets are so wide, your house gets viewed from farther off than a normal tract home, and a bold roofline with one or two strong accents does more than a lot of small pieces.

All the materials are ours, timer included. We set it to switch off late in the evening.

Cameron Park Airpark Estates Christmas light installation, then January

Quotes come from a phone call or from photos you text us or attach on the contact form. We don’t need to stand in the driveway. If part of it goes dark in December, (530) 457-4771 reaches us. Come January the whole display is unhooked and trucked off, and the frontage is as clear as the day we arrived.

One date for the calendar: the 2026 Santa Parade lists a Sunday evening stop at Fairway Drive and Aeronca Way. Check the route to see how close that is to you. Questions before then go to (530) 457-4771.

Cameron Park Airpark Estates: common questions

Can you put stake lights along the street in Airpark Estates?

We keep them back from the pavement. The streets double as taxiways, so frontage has to stay clear for wingspans, and we confirm the safe distance with you first.

Will lights around my hangar door get in the way of opening it?

No. We clip to the trim and gable above and beside the door and route cords away from the track, so the door runs normally all season.

Is there an HOA at the airpark that sets Christmas light dates?

We found none. Recorded CC&Rs are handled through the Cameron Park CSD, whose published CC&R material never brings up holiday decorations.

Does Cameron Park Airpark Estates Christmas light installation mean getting your truck through the electric gates?

Not usually. Those two gates sit between the neighborhood streets and the runway. We work from your driveway and yard.
